I saw this go up on ?uestlove’s twitter page about a month ago, but it was before I hopped back on my bloggington (as Ted Smooth would say it lol). A quick update from @NahRight prompted me to let the world experience the great work of The Roots combined with my favorite Detroit producer of all time, J Dilla “RIP”. Project is called “Dilla Joints” respectively, and I love how The Roots were able to take some of my favorite Dilla classics and “Re-Root” them and bring their interpretation of Dilla’s music to life! The Roots rocked this joint with their futuristic transition! I even made my own remix two years ago. and * 9.) Hall & Oates because I used to study to this beat off of an unreleased Dilla beat tape. It’s so relaxing, and I thing the Roots did a great job in bringing out all the elements in the original that I liked while making it their own!*
