#LMAO | @50Cent Pokes Fun at Ja Rule's Prison Sentencing

It hasn’t been a very good year for rappers regarding their constant run ins with the law. From Wayne, T.I., Kid Cudi, Yo Gotti, Petey Pablo and many more. Unfortunately Ja Rule must now add his name to that slowly increasing list as he has agreed to a plea deal of 2yrs in prison for Class D felony of weapons possession.
The case originated in July 2007, when Ja Rule performed alongside Lil Wayne and the Cash Money Millionaires at New York City’s Beacon Theater. Rule’s vehicle was pulled over shortly after the show, and police found a loaded semi-automatic weapon stashed in the rear door of the car. The rapper was one of three passengers who were charged with the same offense. Ironically, that was the same night that Lil Wayne’s bus was pulled over and saw him get charged for both guns and drugs (Weezy, of course, ended up spending the better part of 2010 behind bars at Riker’s Island; he remains on probation in Arizona for an unrelated incident).
In related news, 50 cent seemed overjoyed about the news on his Twitter, you can peep Ja & 50′s back and forth after the break…
LMAO, 50 I can’t lol…
Rule has been pretty quiet on the recording front for the past few years â he last released a full-length album in 2004. But before that, he was a constant hitmaker, finding pay dirt on the charts with tracks like “I’m Real,” “Always On Time,” “Holla Holla” and “Put It On Me.” He has been working on a new album called Rule York that will represent Rule’s first independent release once it drops.
