”Mike and I talked for a bit about this track, and I was quick to tell him that he killed it on the production. The beat dropped right when it needed to, in my opinion, and he carried that through the whole song.
The singing, on the other hand, took a stylistic direction in many areas that I didn’;t necessarily agree with – he seemed to experiment a bit with his voice and it sounds a little forced to me. I prefer his voice when he just hits the notes as they are meant to be and doesn’t waver at all. But he’s showing his ability to take something and flip it, and that’s to be credited.
