Getting back to the track though, I dig Eminem’s verses and Jazmine’s solo part at the end - my two favorite aspects of the song. “Cocaine” is along the same lines thematically as the rest of the album as Eminem intelligently conveys some personal emotions and experiences. A couple of things I do not particularly vibe with: Eminem’s ‘pausing’ flow that he displays at times (Ex: 'relation..ship’ in second verse) and, basically, the hook by Jazmine. It was too soft sonically, and didn’t utilize her vocal range to the fullest, like she began to exhibit on the outro. The final verdict is that “Cocaine” is a solid track and does just enough to earn the red ink, but also won’t be one in my rotation for long.
