One of the dopest Jimi Hendrix records ever recorded. This version was previously unreleased until now, and sounds quite different than the overdubbed bootleg version that released on the “Midnight Lightning” album back in ‘75 (which you can listen to below).

This is what Jimi Hendrix intended for us, his audience, to hear instead of the bootlegs that have dropped over the past few decades.

“Hey Gypsy Boy” ('Midnight Lightning’ Bootleg - 1975)

The press release notes, “Unlike the posthumously overdubbed version briefly issued as part of Midnight Lightning in 1975, this is original recording that features Jimi joined by Buddy Miles.”
