20 years ago, two children met on the northern shores of Lake Michigan. 20 years later they would reunite and develop an unprecedented musical fervor known as Mansions on the Moon. The electro-pop group Mansions on the Moon was started by Ben Hazlegrove and Ted Wendler in 2009 when the two started writing and producing in a modest studio in Atlanta, GA. Ben’s previous experience in the electronica trio, Pnuma, provided him with production ability and the opportunity to tour around the world. During this time, Ted was writing and performing songs on the acoustic guitar in the Northern Rocky Mountains of Montana.

The merging of these two very different styles produced a harmonious original sound that could be described as a new age Police with Simon and Garfunkel harmonies and a resounding 80s spirit. Mansions on the Moon’s song repertoire ranges from organic classic rock to electronic up-tempo pop. Ben and Ted’s ability to both produce and perform unique and timely music ensures Mansions on the Moon will float above the sea of mundane musical milieu. (Via The Cluh)
