#Shoutouts - Happy Birthday Big Sean!

Good morning everyone! First of all I would like to send a Happy Birthday shout-out to my friend @Big_Sean who turned 22 today!  Now, I met Sean & fellow Michigan artist @MikePosner in October 2009 in New Haven, CT at the EastRockWestRock Festival.  They were both very dope, and the whole night they gave me helpful tips to further my dreams.  I could tell both of the artists loved 4 things by the end of the night, Music, Their Fans, Mary Jane, & Bitches! (Big Sean voice lol)..   I ended up DJ'ing for their show hosted by my friends at Academy Printwear (whattup Pete, Blake, & Teo!)

Well if you don’t know the story of Big Sean, In 2005, Kanye West was doing a radio interview at 102.7 FM in Detroit (where Sean was a friend of the station as a weekly rap battler). When Sean heard Kanye was coming, he headed over to the station to meet West. After leaving a demo tape and along with free styling for West, Sean left him impressed. Two years later, after months of submitting and fine-tuning Sean’s work, West finally signed Big Sean to GOOD Music.

In 2007, Big Sean released his first official mixtape Finally Famous: The Mixtape. His hit single, “Getcha Some”, (prod. by WrighTrax), gave him heavy attention and led to articles in The Source and the Detroit Metro Times.

In 2009, Sean released a second mixtape hosted by Mick Boogie called U Know Big Sean. The mixtape features the hit song, “Desire” which has circulated across the net and various radio outlets. Since then, he has covered XXL’s 10 Freshman for ’10 issue, toured across the nation, announced a new mixtape “Finally Famous: Vol. 3” and an album “Finally Famous” and dropped a sh*tload of music all over the net!

His latest efforts were dropping two songs, one titled “Okay” and the other was his upgrade (seriously) to the awful Gucci Mane song “Supa Dupa Lemonade”. I swear they should replace Gucci’s trash with this bangin freestyle by Sean!. but we already know the deal with radio.. lol
