#Sheesh.. Just caught news from my favorite female blogger herself Miss Info that Drake, Cash Money Records, and Universal Music Group are being sued by Playboy over the “Best I Ever Had” sample. Apparently somone in the Young Money camp thought selling the song in stores was more important than clearing the sample!! SMH..

Also, who knew Hugh Heff owned rights to such classics? My dad has the vinyl for the sample in question from the 70’s by soft rock trio, “Hamilton, Joe Frank, and Reynolds”. The song is called “Falling in Love” and you can hear it below.

Guess this serves as a warning for all aspiring producers… be careful who and what you sample.. you NEVER know who may own what you’re chopping up lol. You may get caught sampling, and you may not. But its all a risk!

I wonder what Boi-1da is thinking right now.. hopefully this will be settled out of the media’s attention (even though Tila Tequila is the one that sent this info to Info ironic right lol). #sheesh..

Big thanks to Info for the news!
